2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of our chocolate company. It also hails a new beginning for our family business. Our three children Jillian, Scott & Mark are now owners. It is with great confidence Stuart and I pass the baton.
In August of 1979 we brought home twin boys who weighed 3 pounds each at birth. We decided now was a good time to start our “home business”. (we were young) We could both be home and care for our growing family and support ourselves with making fudge in the basement. (good idea?)
Four months later we were renting our first factory in Danvers, MA and making 500 pounds of fudge a week for a local ice cream and candy parlor “Brighams” (a once local chain)
